Light of the world
argh my deathnote buddy, quickly come back! (ok i know you juz left, but whatever...). 3.5 weeks waiting for you to get back before i can watch the next episode is a long torturous wait.
and bleach ain't fun watching alone anymore too. =/ u've destroyed my watching-anime-alone skills. and now tt it's the holidays and i'm actually getting to watch them as much as i want, this is not good.
it's Christmas!
one of the things that really struck me yesterday wasn't really the sermon. truth be told, i was falling asleep from staying up the entire night the day before, and only catching 2.5 hours of sleep in e morn. and drinking hot choc with peppermint didn't help - hot chocolate always has such a soporific effect on me. but the lighting of the candles that we each got was special. that was symbolic and a great analogy abt the light of God coming in to earth, and even as we all lifted the candles high and the house lights were switched off, it really did show how it was supposed to be - us carrying the light of God in the world.
but i think what God really used to speak to me was this - this same Light that i know and seen and is in me, is also in my family and friends back home. and more importantly, this same God living in me and watching over me, is also always watching over my bro, and keeping him. the same Light in us both, bound together by human blood but also in the family of Christ. And God definitely is watching over him too, just as He has been for me.
ahhh joel. if u see this, i miss you. =/
