new word of the day: lacunae.
as in, my geog knowledge can be described as 'a curious lacunae of astounding ignorance'.

who in the right mind submits a paper that's a book review, and proceeds to tear the book apart for 65 pages?!!!! and then, proceeds to subject poor students like me to torture by making us go through these 65 pages of angst. argh.
