so finally went outdoor skating on e lake. it's pretty awesome skating out there... at first it was a little scary since there aren't actually railings like normal skating rinks.

but once u get out on the ice and find yr balance, it feels so good to be out there on REAL NATURAL ICE and making twirls and stuff. it's way easier also, cos it's slightly rougher due to the presence of a little snow (but not in a bad way) and the ice itself is really easy to skate and do turns on.

ahh it was pretty awesome. plus the flood of memories of skating with my dad and bro, and my dad teaching me how to lace my skates and to always bend my knees and lean forward... when i heard myself repeating the same words to my friend who was learning to skate for the first time, it really brought a smile to my face =)

the best of all, was that the guy who was manning the skate rental at the park was my friend from the dorms! he ended up giving me and sarah the skate rental for free bwahahahaha. so free skating on the lake!

now it's off to dinner where someone's cooking xia mian (i can feel myself drooling...). the brownies baking in the oven are tempting me as it is, as are the home-made bak kwa on my table. ahhh with the sun out so nicely, and the weather so warm (warm enough that we could actually take off our jackets and take a photo just in t-shirt and jeans!), it's a nice nice nice day.

and above all, it's always thanks to the Father. in each and every new day, seeing His finger prints in all of creation. even as i think of the beautiful white landscape overlooking the frozen lake, i can't help but say, all glory to You and You alone.
