wisconsin's primary on the 19th means lots of stump speeches by both republican and democratic candidates -gleefully rubs hands together-

just went for obama's speech at the kohl center, where more than 17,000 packed the area and 2,000 more filled the overflow room. it was a long wait - first in the cold to get in, then in kohl center itself (where, interestingly, i saw my prof in line at the concession stands...)

it was... good. his speech was good. i wish some of my profs were as eloquent as he was today.

"Our dreams will not be deterred and our future will not be denied and our time for change has come."

"We've won in the east and west, in the north and south and across the heartland of this country we love. This is our moment. This is our time, and where better to affirm our ideals than Wisconsin, where a century ago the progressive movement was born?"

"Tonight, we're on our way. But we know how much further we have to go. We know our road will not be easy. But we also know that at this moment the cynics can no longer say our hope is false."

it was pretty good... invigorating and engaging.

bill clinton's coming by on thursday, as is huckabee. mccain should be coming soon, and hillary clinton's coming on sat to tuesday... chelsea clinton came yesterday, but no.. couldn't really be bothered to go see her. haha.

anyhow exciting exciting... haha
