so, in the last couple of days, there's been an extraordinary amount of politcal changes (and upheavals) in the world. japan, thailand, hungary, the issue in sudan. and like someone said, i never expected to see a coup d'etat in my life. =)

and then there's the demotion of pluto. poor pluto. and then there's Eris, the new addition. -scratches head-

and the imf in singapore. cna painted a really nice picture, but honestly, singapore got slammed all over for the denial of visas and the govt's strong clamping down on protesters. one article i read even went so far as to say that it was a public relations disaster for singapore.

all i can say is, you're in our country, our land, you don't get the right to criticize. esp not when nobody in singapore wants you around. you want your freedom of speech, well... we want our freedom to peace, safety and economic stability.

don't get me wrong. i'm not opposed to freedom of speech. i appreciate it, in moderation. (which is perhaps something that we... well, i shouldn't say anything tt could get me sued :) but there is a limit, and i do feel a little that the govt should perhaps have been more firm. but it wasn't like they really had a choice too. =/ ah.. our little dot in the sea...

so work is depressing. Je suis fatiguée et j'ai des problèmes de sant
é. yeah, so obviously i have a test on friday which i'm trying to study for. haha.

but school IS difficult. and it seems pretty much that this is the semester that I'll screw up. but yeah, i think results are now not the highest of my worry, in that I'm not even thinking so far ahead. i just want to get pass this week. and the next. and the one after that. and yeah. u get the picture.

and i've got a cold. at least it seems like a cold to me, with the blocked nose and terrible phlegm and a throat that gets all croaky cos of the phlegm. and it's been sticking around for the last two weeks. so it's making my life miserable. doesn't help that the stupid weather just KEEPS MAKING IT WORSE. yeah. cold spell. then suddenly it's back to normal and temperatures are in the high teens, sometimes in the twenties! wow. then you have another stupid cold stubborn front that sets itself down over the midwest and REFUSES TO MOVE and you get temperatures like the last two days. and you get frost advisories at night, with temperatures dipping to 1 degrees. COME ON! it's still summer. gimme back my summer -sniff-

so normal temperatures are already fall temperatures. and i'm not looking forward to winter. =/ it's been so great (ok, so i WAS complaining about hot temperatures for a period of time, but hey, it was really hot then...) with all the flora and fauna. azure blue sky, lush vegetation, green fields of grasses complete with twittering birds, bouncing rabbits, cute chipmunks, and greedy squirrels (who bounce by the way. incredibly adorable and lovable :) i dun want to say goodbye to them yet.

but yes. so i'm all wrapped up. and i'll be snuggled under my wonderful down blanket in a bit. it's amazing what a down blanket does for you. ahhh.

Any photos of what it looks like this time of the year?

about IMF, I are glad it is over, all the road closures etc.

i am also glad the truth about Singapore's "first world government" went global.
