as you can tell, i am pretty excited abt the whole winter storm thing haha.
so this morning was pretty much like near-blizzard conditions. amazing. i have never seen so much snow, and such large clumps, falling from the sky. not that i have that much experience with snow, but i would have thought with last dec's wintery conditions, i've seen most of it. but well. it was really really cool. precipitation has tapered down to a light flurry for the time being, but snow accumulation... well i think there's maybe about 4 inches on the ground.

it's all really cool and fun, and would have been, IF i hadn't woken up late and left the house with 10 min to get to class, that is usually well, 10 min away. but today it took like 20 min. urgh. (you think sleeping in when it's raining it's nice, try sleeping in when it's snowing. n it's freezing out. and it's nice and comfy and snug under your down comforter. and u desperately need your sleep.) then try getting from one class to an exam in 10 min, WALKING UP THE STUPID SLIPPERY HILL in these conditions. yes. not fun, not cool.

so basically if i don't look where i'm going, i'll plunge into snow that's up to mid-shin (which happened a couple of times). there's like a plower coming down the road every 5 min. you can't see the stairs for the snow; it's just one smooth slope. the plowers push the snow from the road to the side, so when u're crossing the road, you have to get over a knee-high pile of snow to get across. my entire intake of water for the day is probably equivalent to the amount of melted snow on my face trying to get to class.

but. despite all the inconveniences, it's soooooooooooo pretty!!!!!! it just reminded me of Christ's assurance to wash us as white as snow. You know, we're all kinda like the snow that's on the road. It's polluted by the cars and blackish, and sludgy cos it's half melted and it's just totally gross. Kinda like what sin has done to us. But He has rescued us from all that, and we're like the pure, spotless, mind-blowing WHITE snow on the pavements... beautiful, exquisitely-created, amazing. You have to see the contrast to understand why i'm gushing abt it :)

so if i didn't have an exam tomorrow. or on tuesday. or wed. or thurs. i'll be out this entire weekend making snowmen. unfortunately. i do. gaaaaaah.
