so i guess i'm still a little freaked out by last night's incident, which results in me throwing glances over my shoulder at where i first spotted the cockroach. also explains why i'm throwing out the potatoes that may have been contaminated. even if they weren't, there's still the psychological thing.

so they're cutting trees in the carpark just outside my window. and it's really sad. cos they cut... everything :( probably also means that the birds don't have nests there now. which is good cos it means no more early morning wake up calls. but... it's sad don't u think? coming back and finding your home that was in one piece, is now gone forever. sad.

sun's setting earlier now. sigh. time passes so quickly. dusk comes around 8.30-ish, as compared to the 9-ish i was getting used to. makes me a bit more frantic about doing work though, cos it suddenly starts looking really late when i gaze out of the window.

4 seasons. experienced all 4 seasons for an extended period of time. i think somehow, fall is still the nicest. i love winter and the way it looks, with clean, white, newly fallen snow. it's almost magical. but it's... cold. freezing cold. blizzards are not cool. walking to class in a blizzard is certainly not my idea of fun.

and there's summer. the total opposite. you can walk out in a shorts and a sleeveless shirt, with slippers! it's a simple pleasure after being bundled up almost half the year. and the rabbits come out to play. with the chipmunks. and squirrels. and fireflies. they're EVERYWHERE. (might i add that the rabbits are really getting kinda fat... almost as fat as our rabbit used to be) the sun though, and the crazy tornadoes and severe thunderstorms. scaaaaary. and man... the heat can kill

spring. life all around. budding leaves and rapid growth of everything around. the first thawing of snow. the first rainfall, not snow. BUT. capricious weather, definitely not a good thing. storms come so quickly and the occasional severe thunderstorm warnings can be a pain. hail stones aren't exactly my idea of fun. and it can be so warm one day, almost like summer, and the next? like winter, complete with snow. right. not cool.

but fall... ah. fall's magical. temperatures are just right (at least at the beginning, then after that, wisconsin's winter kicks in. bleh) and no more scary storms! wildlife still abound, and the changing colours and falling leaves... ahhhh. beaaaaautiful. yeah, fall's breathtaking.

so. it's almost 3 more mths till fall, but it's going to be a hot, ardous 3 months. gonna get thru' the temperatures man...
