after hemming and hawing for 5 .5 years, I have finally decided to make the switch.

I'm a proud owner of a macbk pro! woohoo!

yeah i know -ouch- big hole in the pocket, and so i hope it proves to be worth every cent its touted to be.

anyhow, my current 5.5 yr old laptop wldn't be lasting very much longer. as far as possible, i've tried to reduce the use of it. and honestly, the RAM, memory and everything is so outdated that i can't do many things with it even if i wanted to. but everything else is coming apart - the fans, the cd-rom... it's a waiting game to see which will breakdown first. my trusty old ibm (whose hard disk has already crashed and been replaced once) is finally being given up.

that said, the fact that i haven't had to replace anything so far (except the hard disk) shows that it's one solid piece of equipment. the hinges, the screen, the keyboard... good stuff man. it's been through thick and thin with me, through crazy climatic conditions, from yicky warm humidity to freezing, dry conditions.

my dear old ibm, thank you for your faithfulness and perseverance. you will always have a special place in my heart.

mr macbk pro, pls prove that you are as worthy as my ibm was.

but i must say, it's incredibly beautiful. every mac is practically a work of art. ahhhhhh.
